Hi, Im Shilah Pope, the girl behind the lens. I am a 25 year old Oregon based photographer drawn to warm tones, honest connection, and storytelling that feels true to YOU. What started as a love for documenting people has turned into something I’m really grateful for: getting to preserve some of life’s most meaningful seasons for others.
I photograph weddings, elopements, couples, families, seniors, and all the in-between chapters that deserve to be remembered. My approach is simple - I’m not here to over-pose your day or turn you into something you’re not. I’m here to help you feel comfortable, be present, and actually enjoy the experience while I quietly document it all as it unfolds.
You’ll probably find me encouraging you to run through the field at golden hour, lean into the messy laughs, or forget the camera is even there for a bit. The best photos usually live in those moments you didn’t overthink.
Based in Oregon, I’m constantly inspired by the landscapes here — the ever-changing weather, the soft light, the coast, the forests. I don’t mind a little rain (or a lot of it), because it always seems to bring out something real.
When I’m not photographing, I’m usually recharging in nature, chasing good light, or spending time with the people I love.
